Neil Davison

Neil has worked in the retail and hospitality industry since 1981, starting out in hotels and bottle shops while studying at university. After a short period working in foreign aid overseas, he returned to Australia and joined CUB as a brewer. He later returned to university, and soon after graduating purchased his first hotel in 1991. Two more hotels followed before he moved into supermarkets. His experience broadened again when he purchased a motel in Tasmania, which later operated as a quarantine facility during COVID. He also serves on a State Advisory Committee for AUR.

Neil believes governments should do more to support and encourage small business, and is passionate about strengthening the recognition of the vital role small businesses play in their communities.
