Free Support Available for NSW Small Businesses

Running an independent business means managing a wide range of responsibilities – from staffing and finances to marketing, business planning and increasingly, artificial intelligence.

For NSW small businesses looking for practical guidance, the Service NSW Business Bureau’s Small Business Advisory program provides access to free advice, online resources and events.

Get free one-on-one advice

The program provides eligible businesses with up to four hours of free one-on-one advice from independent advisors with experience running their own businesses.  Advice is available in person, online or over the phone, making it easier for business owners to access support in a way that suits them.  Advisors can provide guidance across a range of areas, including:
  • Business planning
  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Staffing and people management
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Business operations and other small business issues
Whether you’re looking at ways to improve your business, working through a particular challenge or simply need an independent perspective, the program provides an opportunity to access practical advice at no cost.

Online resources and learning

The program also includes on-demand online resources to help business owners develop their skills and knowledge.  These resources can be accessed when it suits you, allowing busy business owners to learn at their own pace.

Free events and networking

From late September, businesses will also be able to register for free events and networking opportunities.  These sessions will provide opportunities to develop new skills, access practical information and connect with other small business owners.
